No Decisions After Six
By six o’clock, you have made enough decisions.
Where to go.
Who to meet.
What to buy.
Is it new? Is it good? Will it sell?
Unfortunately, someone has planned a cocktail party.
You could go.
Or you could head back to the hotel—but you don’t go home until tomorrow, and going back to your room means room service again.
Everyone else is flying out tonight.
Don’t you want to try something with a little local flavor?
Here’s my suggestion:
Surrender the evening to someone whose judgment you trust.
Not your independence. Just the responsibility for deciding what happens next.
From the moment I pick you up, you don’t have to choose another thing.
I know where we’re going. I made the reservation.
I know what’s worth ordering and when it’s time to leave.
Maybe we begin with one good drink.
Or a couple little ones.
We’re not eating somewhere between the convention center and your hotel. I know a few places.
And dessert doesn’t need to be on that table. We have a whole city.
What’s next?
You don’t need to know.
You don’t want another itinerary. You don’t need another list of recommendations.
You only need to notice whether you’re having a good time.
By the end of the evening, Las Vegas won’t feel like a city you’re visiting anymore.
It might even feel like yours.
No decisions after six.
I’ve got it from here.
